25.1] Proclamation to the People of Venezuela, Simon Bolivar
In this document Simon Bolivar urges the people of South America and even the "brothers" who have been "lured from the paths of justice" to come over to his army to fight off the Spaniards. He even says that he would like to give them one last chance to reconciliate. He simply wanted his people to be free. This happened at a time when Spain neglected its colonial empire in the Americas.
